Following the 50% increase in the visa application charge (VAC) on partner visa, the Department of Immigration and Protection (DIBP) decides to increase the VAC on various type again starting from 1 July 2015.
The federal government handed down the budget to the Parliament last night. The Government aims to increase the revenue by AUD 437 million in the coming four years. The Government has no other idea in the mind but to target the visa application charge. The VAC increase will affect most of the popular type including the student visa, tourist visa, investment visa, partner visa and skilled migration visas.

Please kindly note that you may lodge the visa application before 1 July 2015 to avoid the VAC increase. If you have no way but lodge the visa application after 1 July 2015, make sure you pay the correct VAC or you will risk an invalid application.
